It is not uncommon in RO/NF water treatment for chemical cleanings of RO/NF units to be ineffective. This can waste an enormous amount of labor and money. You can try more than one cleaning chemical and more than one procedure and still obtain unsatisfactory results. Ineffective chemical cleaning is one of the major reasons for shortened membrane element life and costly, premature element replacement. If you have to clean your RO/NF unit(s) more than 4-6 times per year and/or you don’t get AT LEAST 3 years of life from your membrane elements, DHP’s technical services will save you money.
DHP has a proven methodology to provide you with the chemical(s) and procedure to perform effective chemical cleanings. For more information click [HERE].
A DHP Cleaning Evaluation is cost effective if:
- Your membrane unit doesn't improve back to near-new performance following cleaning
- You get less than 3 years of useful life from your elements/modules due to the inability to effectively clean the elements/modules
- You definitely want to know what chemicals to use and which procedure to use to effectively clean your membrane unit
One of the biggest problems with chemical cleanings of membrane systems is that they frequently don’t bring the unit back to new or near-new performance. If you don’t return the unit to near-new performance after each cleaning, it’s likely that you will have to prematurely replace elements. Chemical cleanings are always time consuming, but ineffective cleanings result in more money spent on cleaning chemicals and early element/module replacement.
DHP has a scientific way to determine the best cleaning chemical(s) and the best procedure to use. DHP doesn’t sell or endorse any cleaning chemicals so the results are unbiased. DHP tests your fouled/scaled membrane with cleaners from several chemical vendors plus generic cleaners.
A DHP Cleaning Evaluation Consists of:
- A spiral wound element autopsy and report
- An evaluation of which proprietary or generic cleaning chemicals removes the scalant/foulant the best
- An evaluation of which cleaning procedure removes the most scalant/foulant
- A cleaning evaluation report documenting the evaluation step by step
